He Is Within You by George Washington Carver

He Is Within You

By George Washington Carver
In Alvin Smith’s George Washington Carver: man of God, from a chapter titled “Where Is Thy Creator?” Smith quotes Carver telling his Young Men’s Bible Class: “If we are to contact our Creator, we must know where He is — where to find Him. He is within you, me and everyone. He is everywhere at any time; we don’t have to go away from where we are now seated to find Him. He is at the seat of our very being — in our hearts. He is in us and we are in Him. The bible says, ‘In Him we move and have our being.’ Our hearts within hear at His command.”

Around 2009/2010 the Lord directed my attention and time to study George’s life and struggles and read much about him as I sort to glean how God communicated with him about himself and peanuts.

I visited the National monument in Diamond Missouri with my dear friend Allen Stancil and we enjoyed an extended time of prayer as we considered the hardship George and the black community had suffered and still suffer, yet despite the suffering of all mankind, God sustains all men.

The harvest is great, but the workers are few…

The video above from GO Harvest Mission shows the simplicity of God’s promises fulfilled through little children healing adults by speaking simple words “pain go now in Jesus name!”

Have you been a Christian for a short time or for all your life, and have you ever doubted God can heal today as He healed people in his own time 2000 + years ago?

God is God, His Spirit reigns, His Spirit lives in you as you, He heals today as He did yesterday as He will tomorrow.

God is hoping you who say you are His children will walk by faith and share Himself with your family, friends, coworker, and strangers, by loving people just where they are, healing the sick just as Jesus modeled.

The question is, will you walk by faith, trust God and be a Jesus clone in your form to your community, or will you continue to do nothing in unbelief?

God only knows…

Hope by Fr. James Keller, M.M.,

By Fr. James Keller, M.M.,

HOPE opens doors where despair closes them.
HOPE discovers what can be done instead of grumbling about what cannot.
HOPE draws its power from a deep trust in God.
HOPE “lights a candle” instead of “cursing the darkness.”
HOPE regards problems, small or large, as opportunities.
HOPE cherishes no illusions, nor does it yield to cynicism.
HOPE sets high goals and is not frustrated by repeated difficulties or setbacks.
HOPE pushes ahead when it would be easy to quit.
HOPE puts up with modest gains, realizing that “the longest journey starts with one step.”
HOPE accepts misunderstandings as the price for serving the greater good of others.
HOPE looks for the good in people instead of harping on the worst.

May the GOD of HOPE

fill you with all joy and peace

as you trust in Him,

that you may overflow with HOPE

by the power of the Holy Spirit.

(Romans 15:13)

F R E E D O M in Christ alone!

The Freedom CD  encouraged me when I was lost in the early days of my faith journey. It was to be found on United4Truth [dot] com, which sadly is no longer online. Thankfully many other saints around the world have it archived, and continue to share to encourage saints who come after us. The Lord is so good to us. His word goes out and never returns void and always accomplishes it’s purpose.

If you are sense you are going through a rough patch, and feel confused, resist the devil and he will flee from you, ask the Lord to comfort you and make Himself as the Prince of Peace real to you, and perhaps listen to this CD, not of any pastor or evangelist, but the testimonies of brothers and sisters like you and me:

We over come the evil one with the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony (Rev 12:11)

He is not here

David Heisler, Tony Maden and Dee Dee Winter, 2006

‘He is not here’ by David Heisler

He is not here: for he is risen …” Matt. 28.6

I suppose I could have entitled this “He is risen”. But, given the fact that today is Easter, you’re going to hear that all day.

But the point I am making is that wherever you are looking for Him – He is not there. Where are you looking for Him today, as Mary looked for Him at the tomb? Are you looking at a sunrise service? Are you looking for Him at church? Are you looking for Him in your bible?

He is not in any of those places. Don’t go looking for Him today.

He is risen.

He is risen in you. He is risen in me.

He is risen as you. He is risen as me.

Happy Easter. May you always find Him in the mirror – in the very heart of your being.
